However, it is essential to acknowledge the challenges we have faced, from concerns for our loved ones and patients to our own well-being. Reports have highlighted the significant anxiety, despair, and mental fatigue we have all experienced at some point in the pandemic. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to recognize the invaluable contributions of Medical Technologists and seek ways to support and elevate our roles.
As we reflect on the lessons learned from the challenging times of the pandemic, let us seize the opportunity to enhance the roles of Medical Technologists in the post-pandemic era. The invaluable contributions we have made during this crisis have further highlighted the importance of our expertise and dedication in patient care.
When the crisis was over, we bounced back, ready to “move on” and “get back to normal”.
It will be interesting to interact with other katusoks and observe how we have changed in the wake of the pandemic.
